BatchQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the website batchq.app and the BatchQ service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

eBay Authorization: When you connect your eBay account, we receive and store OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) that allow us to create listings on your behalf. We do not store your eBay password.

Card Images: When you upload card images, we store them for processing and listing creation. Images are used solely to identify cards, generate listings, and display within your account.

Listing Data: We store card identification results, pricing data, listing titles, descriptions, and other metadata generated during the listing process.

Usage Data: We may collect basic usage information such as login timestamps and feature usage to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) provide and operate the Service; (b) process card images using AI and optical character recognition; (c) generate and create eBay listings on your behalf; (d) retrieve market pricing data for card valuation; (e) communicate with you about your account and the Service; (f) improve and develop the Service.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for hosting, data storage, image processing, and marketplace integration. Your data may be shared with these providers solely to operate the Service.

• Cloud Hosting Providers — For application hosting, image storage, and database services.
• Image Processing Services — To read and analyze text from your card images.
• AI Services — To identify cards and generate listing content.
• eBay — To create and manage listings on your behalf.

Each third-party service is subject to its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers in the United States and Europe (via our hosting providers). We implement reasonable security measures including: encrypted database connections, hashed passwords using bcrypt, encrypted OAuth tokens, HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and API key authentication for service-to-service communication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Card images and listing data are retained to support your ongoing use of the Service. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data, card images, and listing data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for up to 90 days.
